Keloid: Why Does it happen?

603. <Keloid: Why Does it happen?>

Keloids are abnormal scar tissue overgrowths that form instead of normal healing. They often occur after piercings, surgery, or trauma, but why do they appear in specific people and areas?

The Root Cause: leakage of Lymphatic Contamination by trauma.

Keloids form due to lymphatic contamination and leakage. When chronic lymphatic contamination persists, trauma or surgery can rupture lymphatic vessels, releasing toxins into nearby tissues. This triggers inflammation, leading to excessive fibroblast activity and collagen overproduction.

Key factors include TGF-β1, TGF-β2, and interleukins (IL-6, IL-10, IL-17), which stimulate uncontrolled fibroblast growth. This causes scars to expand beyond normal boundaries, creating keloids.

Why Do Some People Get Keloids?

Processed food consumption → Artificial additives accumulate, increasing toxin levels.

Weakened skin barrier → Wounds expose contaminated lymph fluid.

Genetic predisposition → Babies inherit toxic lymph conditions from their mothers.

Autoimmune disorders & chronic inflammation → Higher risk of keloid formation.

Poor diet, lack of sleep, and inactivity worsen lymphatic waste buildup, leading to slower healing and more severe scarring over time.

Prevention & Healing

To prevent and heal keloids, focus on detoxifying the lymphatic system:

✅ Sweat regularly → Remove stored toxins.
✅ Eat a plant-based diet → Minimize contamination.
✅ Exercise & improve circulation → Support healing.
✅ Avoid processed foods → Reduce inflammation.

Keloids don’t develop overnight—they result from long-term toxin buildup, often spanning generations. True healing takes time and consistency.

⚠️ Radiation therapy can remove keloids but may weaken immunity. Consider long-term effects before treatment.

Healing Isn't Just Skin Deep

 602. <Face Scars>

A facial scar is a permanent mark left after a wound heals, a trace that stays for life. Why do some scars raise, while others sink, darken, or fade?

The answer lies in the lymphatic system. While the epidermis lacks lymphatic vessels, the dermis contains them. When a wound occurs, lymphatic vessels may tear, and the cleanliness of the lymph inside determines the healing process. If the lymph is clean and only internal tissue is damaged, the wound may heal without a scar. But, if the lymph becomes contaminated, it may lead to inflammation and scarring.

Even in a sterile surgical environment, if the lymph is contaminated, it can spread to nearby tissue. Contaminants often come from synthetic food additives, like colorants, preservatives, and artificial sweeteners. These additives accumulate in the lymph and can lead to chronic contamination.

When a facial wound tears lymphatic vessels, contaminated lymph leaks out, prompting white blood cells to clean the toxins, leading to collagen remodeling. However, contaminated lymph can over-stimulate cell division, damaging the tissue, especially in areas with poor circulation.

Raised scars are not caused by surgical error, but by habits like eating processed foods, avoiding exercise, and neglecting sleep. These habits lead to lymphatic contamination, causing delayed healing and hypertrophic scars.

To improve scars, focus on sleep, a natural diet, and increased blood circulation through movement. Gentle movement after the scar has formed helps circulation, nutrient delivery, and toxin elimination, gradually softening the scar. Treat the affected area with care to prevent permanent marks.

facial wounds

601. <Facial Wounds>
A facial wound disrupts the skin’s natural barrier, exposing deeper tissues to infection and scarring. Proper treatment is essential not just for healing but for aesthetic and functional restoration.

Sutures & Healing

Sutures act as a stabilizer, holding wound edges together to prevent reopening. While suture type and technique matter, healing depends on wound location, depth, and care. The skin regenerates primarily at night, guided by melatonin and growth hormone (GH).

Melatonin, secreted in darkness, acts as an antioxidant, clearing debris and reducing inflammation.

GH promotes collagen synthesis, essential for tissue repair.

Cell division (mitosis) replaces damaged skin.

Sunlight exposure during the day boosts serotonin, which converts into melatonin at night, supporting deep sleep and optimal healing.

Nutrition & Recovery

Excessive protein intake does not speed up healing. The body loses only 0.3–0.4% of total protein from wounds. Balanced nutrition—whole grains, fruits, and vegetables—provides sufficient amino acids, vitamins, and minerals for recovery.

Overeating meat or fish may increase acidic byproducts (sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, uric acid), forcing the body to leach calcium from bones to neutralize acidity, paradoxically weakening bone structure.

Key to Faster Healing

1️⃣ Immediate medical care prevents infection & scarring.
2️⃣ Minimize movement in the wounded area.
3️⃣ Daylight exposure boosts serotonin → melatonin for tissue repair.
4️⃣ Deep sleep triggers GH for collagen production.
5️⃣ Clean, nutrient-dense foods support cellular regeneration.

Your face is more than just skin—it holds your senses, expressions, and identity. Treat it with care, patience, and balance.

Are you looking for bulging eye treatment? We can help!

Do you have bulging eyes that cause you worry over? Do you stress trying to downplay your prominent eyes with  make up and cover up techniques. Maybe it's time you considered a specialist in oculoplastic surgery, and we just happen to be specialists in oculoplastics.

A young Asian woman, 23 years old, came to us worrying about the appearance of her bulging eyeballs. She had tried masking the bulginess for years using make up; however, this just led to her stressing more over her eyes. She finally felt she was old and mature enough to make the decision to put her problem in hands of a specialist in oculoplasty.

The eye contouring procedure was a success. We not only succeeded in pushing her eyes back, getting rid of the awkward protrusion, but the procedure also reduce the appearance of what appeared to bags under her eyes, and strengthened the appearance of her double-eyelid.

We have more than 10 years of experience helping patients with pre and post-operative worries. Our experience allows us to finish the procedure in an hour or less, drastically reducing risk factors that could make for a complicated recovery period. If you are someone who is considering the protruded eye surgery, don't hesitate any longer. Come visit us by clicking the link below and let us know if you have any questions.

Do you have bulging eyes? Want to change your prominent eyes? So did he. Transform your face with eye contour surgery.

A 30-year-old Asian male came to us complaining of his bulging eyes. He has had protruded eyeballs for as long as he could remember, and confessed that his eyes made him feel self conscious. We assured him that with our experience in the field, we could give help him become less self-conscious about his eyes with our orbital expansion technique, giving him the desired eye contour results that he desired.

He entrusted us with his eyes and we came through on our promise.

One month after surgery, the man's semblance to bulging "fish eyes" was improved on. However, as is mostly the case with prominent eye surgery, the swelling behind the takes months to subside. As was the case of our patient, one month after there was still a bulginess and uneveness due to swelling. Three years later, we caught up with our happy patient.
He had gotten even more handsome. With the swelling completely subsided, his face exuberated with a confidence that was not there when he first walked into a our clinic three years prior.

Is there a way to change the distance between my pupils? Little-Known Facts About Orbital Expansion Surgery

Advances in technology allow for medical procedures that were not possible in the past.
Lasers can be used to cut and reshape the eye to improve visual acuity -- Lasik/Lasek. Bone and tissue in the eye socket can be removed or pushed in to make more room for protruded eyeballs to sit more comfortably in the face. These kinds of procedures can even be done with minimal scarring.

With that said, is there a way to change the distance between the pupils? Our medical expert says, "yes!" Let's take a medical look at what changing the distance would involve.

The interpupillary distance, or pupillary distance, is the distance measured between the center of the pupils of the eyes. The distance is measured in millimeters, and plays an important role in the general feel of a face. To go about changing the distance, orbital expansion surgery would have to be performed.

In orbital expansion surgery, orbital bone (the bone that makes up the eye socket) can be cut and removed or pushed in. Depending when on what part of the orbital wall is cut determines how the pupillary distance can change.

The orbital wall is made up of three walls, respectively: the inferior wall, the medial wall, and the lateral wall. When cuts are made to the medial wall, the innermost wall, the eyes move closer together naturally closing the pupillary distance. When cuts are made to the lateral wall, the outermost wall, the distance between the eyes grows farther apart resulting in a widening pupillary distance.

The distance between the pupils of the eyes might not seem important, but a subtle difference of a few millimeters can make a surprisingly big difference.

How long is recovery after surgery? How long is the procedure? What does recovery entail?

Are  you considering protruded eye surgery but are afraid because you don't know what to expect after surgery? Worry no more. We are going to explain what happens after surgery so that you have realistic expectations and make educated decisions regarding your surgery.

First, before getting into what to expect after surgery, an understanding what takes place during the procedure itself is important. In protruded eye surgery, depending on the reason the eye or eyes are protruded, bone making up the walls of the orbital room (the eye socket) can be cut and pushed in, orbital fat can be taken out from behind the eye, or a combination of both can be done. This is all done for the purpose of making more room in the orbital room for the eye.

Fat and bone are removed from the orbit making the procedure an invasive one. As such, there is usually a lot of swelling around and inside of the eye socket. Though every case is different, severe swelling usually persists 1 ~ 2 weeks. During this time, the first two weeks, post-operative care is of the utmost importance. The eyes are very susceptible to infection, so special care should be taken to make sure the eyes are not touched or bumped.

For the first two weeks, the body should be using its energy for healing and recovery. For this reason, strenuous activity should be avoided. This not only includes more general activities, like sports and exercise, but also activities that may be considered strenuous on the eyes, too (focusing with the eyes for extended periods of time in one place -- watching a computer monitor, watching TV, looking at a phone, reading, or looking at objects to close to the face).

If there are no problems after the first two weeks of surgery, the rest of the recovery period will be a breeze. Severe swelling will most likely have all gone down; however, minimal swelling may persist as long as three months post surgery.
