Today is the age that is awash with plastic surgeries and beauty treatments.
In this red ocean, all plastic surgery centers talk about their own surgical difference and price bubbles. So it is so difficult for customers to distinguish which center perform surgeries well.
There are in facial plastic surgeries too many pieces of information like where performs ophthalmoplasty well, where performs rhinoplasty or where performs facial bone surgery well.
As there are too many kinds of difference according to each surgery center, customers may be so confused to make a decision.
The most important is the balance and proportion in the face. But I saw many cases patients had a considerable distress from surgeries, because the balance and proportion in their face was broken after they got a rhinoplasty at a plastic surgery center and a facial bone surgery at another center.
So I have been agonizing it for a long time that each center solved only the problem of its own field instead of seeing a whole facial balance and proportion as we have only a face but plastic surgical parts are divided and specialized fields are also divided.
Trying my best to keep a aesthetic balance in only a face was my goal and the reason EFIL was born.
Facial bone structure is as important as the structure of construction. Because Skin or muscles are a role as an interior work after completing bone structures,
it is much easier to adjust their proportions.
And I saw many cases that patients were disappointed at their doctors and dissatisfied with their surgeries because the face line was already out of proportion and ophthalmoplasty or rhinoplasty didn’t work so much.
Actually, I witnessed many times the problem is not because their doctors didn’t perform surgeries well but because they didn’t think over the facial proportion or balance and decided hastily to get a surgery. So I would like to share my opinions with customers.

Eyelid Surgery
Have you ever consulted a plastic surgeon to get a double-eyelid job and heard that the results might not be as satisfying due to protruding eyes? Do you know that you can also fix protruding eyes by surgical procedure?
Exophthalmos (Prominent Eye) is to protrude (pop out) eyes abnormally, and they occur due to congenital and acquired cause.
Prominent eyes have not only the aesthetic problem, but also can occur swelling eyes, congestedeyes, and blurred vision. So they need to be corrected as soon as possible.
EFIL Plastic Surgery Center is the 1st and the only plastic surgery center performing to correct prominent eye surgery in Korea. And other surgery centers perform surgeries which have an effect to just retract eyes but we EFIL perform the surgery which correct and retract prominent eyes.
We incise ocular conjunctiva which is shown as drawing an interior orbital part towards the nose and processing the surgery.
We can osteotomize orbital wall bones through ocular conjuctiva and push the osteotomize bone towards a medial orbital wall and then enlarge the orbital space.
Method of surgery to remove appropriately structure, the orbital fat in the eye lid.
If customers have the burden of orbital expansion surgery or surgery cost, only reloose-fitting orbital fat can correct prominent eyes effectively
In the past, the orbital surgery taken 4 ~ 5 hours was seriously considered to lose eye-sight.

Dr. Peter Kim’s special operation method can be performed with no obvious superficial scar via incision through the conjunctivae. This can be accessed by drawing the inner canthus towards the nose revealing the pink conjunctivae. The protrusion of the eye will be decreased by securing the bone that supports the eye through the conjunctivae. This will obliterate the space and the protruded eye will naturally go inside. It takes 20 minutes to operate on each eye with a total of one hour including the anesthesia.
Postoperative care entails judicious application of ice packs for 48 hours. This will keep periorbital hematoma formation to a minimum. Warm compresses are then applied to hasten the resorption of the bruises leading to complete recovery in 1-2 weeks.

Unlikely the past surgery, we perform orbital expansion surgery within 1 hour. In order to check the postoperative safety, we recommend to stay at our center for 1 day.
